Tinashe Mushakavanhu (Kent, UK) - A new website highlighting films made in Zimbabwe since 1980 and profiling filmmakers, actors and technicians involved in the Zimbabwean film industry has been launched.

The site provides the latest news in the Zimbabwean film industry, a catalagoue of Zimbabwean films produced since 1980 in different genres and a directory list of filmmakers and production houses in the country. This pioneering initiative is commendable as the world is increasingly becoming technologically interactive.
ZimbabweFilm.com is a useful resource directory and marketing tool for: people who work in film & video in Zimbabwe today; potential investors and scholars; companies and individuals who wish to do productions in Zimbabwe; audiences keen on accessing Zimbabwean films and networking.

ZimbabweFilm.com was established by Rumbi Katedza's Mai Jai Films with a grant from the Culture Fund of Zimbabwe Trust and with support from the Goethe Institute, as part of its ongoing cooperation with the Berlinale Talent Campus Film Coop projects in Zimbabwe and the Philippines.

Mai Jai Films is a production company focused on pioneering a new generation of Zimbabwean films through smart partnerships and co-productions with other production houses and cultural organizations and registered with the National Arts Council of Zimbabwe.
