By Fungai James - Zimbabwean filmmaker, Rumbi Katedza’s film, Asylum, is one of only two African entries up for the Radio Canada International Migrations People’s Choice Award.

The short film is about a Sudanese woman seeking Asylum in the UK and in the process, the horrors of her past life in Darfur keep coming back to haunt her.

Those who wish to vote for Katedza's film should do so between October 16 and 22 which is the competition's quarter final.
